Career
Philipp Bosshard needs courage. Courage to go out among people. «I tell myself: don't let your life be restricted. Should my appearance determine my behavior? Should it limit me? No!»
Miraculously, Philipp Bosshard survived. In an accident at work, 88 percent of his skin was burned. His body was on fire for twelve seconds. Philipp underwent 60 operations and spent two years in hospitals. In the beginning, he could no longer climb stairs. Later, he managed to walk for two hours and today Philipp is a triathlete. He has to move. Daily. Because his skin feels like wearing clothes in size S instead of the appropriate size L.
In September 2023, Philipp completed his first Ironman in under twelve hours. You can read his whole story here.
Sports
Philipp Bosshard lives in the Engadine and trains for triathlon two to three times a day. «Sport helps me overcome limits and brings me into contact with people. It motivates me not to shut myself off, but to go out among people. In addition, I need a strategy and a mentally big challenge that also helps me cope with everyday life. The doctors at the time of the accident said I would need lifelong care.»
